What is SAT Tests?

SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) is a standardised college admission test used by most colleges and universities in the United states and internationally.

A good SAT score gives admission authorities of college or universities understanding if a candidate is equipped with skills related to critical reading, writing and maths which is required for college and beyond. A good SAT Score is the primary criteria among few others for admissions to good colleges.

The College Board has announced that going forward Digital Test will be introduced as the primary medium for all students. Recently the Digital Test was introduced for International students. (Students writing exam from outside United States or US Territories)

How is the Digital SAT Test Structured?

Digital SAT Exam Consists of 2 Modules: Reading & Writing and Maths

Reading & Writing Section consists of two modules which consists of 54 questions in Total. 32 minutes is assigned to each module.

Maths Section consists of two modules which consists of 44 Questions  Students have 64 minutes to complete the Reading and Writing section and 70 minutes to complete the Math section for a total of 2 hours and 14 minutes.

No. Currently the college board (the governing body for SAT), is in the process of converting the SAT test on paper, to SAT Digital. Currently students attempting exams from centres located outside the United States, and U.S. Territories are required to opt for Digital SAT. In time Digital SAT will be implemented within the United States too.

The digital SAT will be shorter than the current paper and pencil test—around two hours instead of three. It will include two sections (Reading and Writing, Math) with a break in between.
